Intrinsically, men have very different interests to women. Whilst women might enjoy shopping and chatting about their partners, men are a little more interested in things that get their adrenaline pumping. This may sound like a woeful generalisation, but there are certainly many common interests that most men will share. Here are five of the most common.

First and foremost, it is quite clear to men love sport. Whilst not all men will love all sports, you will be hard pushed to find a man who doesn’t have some sort of interest in some form of sport. The simple reason for this is that men just enjoy competing against each other and throughout history have dreamed up new ways to test men against other men. Whether its taking to the field in a game of rugby or football or sliding down the slopes on your salomon ski equipment, all men will enjoy the rush of competing and the thrill of winning.

A second thing that really appeals to most men is building and creating things using their hands. Many men will have a little work-shop that they can escape to, or a garage on which to build. Whether it be something practical like home storage cabinets for your house, or rebuilding an old vintage car, pretty much all men will take great pleasure in developing and building something from start to finish.

Cars are also a wild passion for a lot of men and at worst still a passing interest. Men cannot help but watch as a beautifully crafted car swiftly passes them by on the road. They all yearn to have that car for themselves so that they can be the ones showing off to all the passers by.

Fourthly, particularly when they are young, all men dream of being rock stars and look to emulate their favorite heroes by jumping around their rooms with their ibanez electric guitar imagining themselves to be on stage in front of thousands of adoring fans. Whilst this mainly begins to fade as men grow older, they still live the dream when they’re fast asleep at night.

Finally, all men share one interest that is truly inbuilt into their make-up. That is the interest in the opposite sex. Whether its drooling over the latest cover star on their monthly lads mags, or discussing seriously the wonders and dangers of marriage, men will all think about women and their relationships with them ahead of anything else.
