Help Us With Our Marriage.

How often do you encounter the phrase “save my marriage”? You might hear it a lot these days because stress, financial woes, and other issues have resulted in ridiculously-high divorce rates.  Owing a serious amount of debt, for example, is one thing that couples are tempted to use to point out faults to each other.  These problems look like they’re just overwhelming you, and you no other choice but to pour out frustration on your partner.

Before you go to a marriage counselor, though, try this guide and see if it works for you.  Here are some solutions you can use to assist you with bringing back a bit of passion.

1.  “How is it possible keep my marriage in tact if there’s always distance between us?”.

In this world of ours, you can’t afford to be overly choosy with your work that is necessary to stay in the black.  You may very well have to have a long-distance relationship depending on what job you select.  This means that two people may often have different timetables.  If this applies to you, you can still try to talk with your partner through little nice notes left around the house.

For example, if you head off to your job before your partner does, then prepare a meal for him or her and leave a nice little note wishing them a great morning.  In addition, it’s a great idea to lay out what your partner will wear for work before you head out.  Don’t forget to slip a sweet memo in a pocket.  By doing these little things, you’ll really show your partner you care about them.  If you do this, you may not have to drag your partner to a reconciliation discussion.

2.  “Can we really stay together by doing small stuff?”.

Absolutely.  When you’ve been together for an extended period of time, then it all starts to come off as cheesy.  I strongly recommend that you let yourself be captured by the mushiness that is so important to a relationship.  If you are at home before they return, be at the door with a smile.  Before you two fade away to slumber, verbally affirm your love for them .  This can be a wonderful gesture right before they head to sleep.

You can also set aside a night per week to watch a movie.  It doesn’t really matter that it’s just a rented movie on the couch. As long as you’re together, enjoying each others company, then you’re on the right path.

3.  “How can physical intimacy help my marriage?”.

While you and your partner likely won’t suffer from decreased sex drives due to your conflicts, it’s still a great idea for your marriage to be more sensitive and passionate before you have sex.  Be open to listening to your partner and really try to heed your partner’s request during intercourse.  Rubbing your partner’s back is another great idea.

Showing affection can really help in your relationship.  Your gestures of affection will not only convey care, but will also communiate that you truly desire more romance for you and him or her.  This will also entice him or her to return the feelings.
