Relationships take work, they are never easy. In order for two people to make a long lasting couple they need to work at keeping each other happy. There are differences and obstacles that can trip up any relationship. In many cases relationships break-up due to a simple misunderstanding. Possibly something was said and taken out of context or perhaps it was a simple case of jealousy. If you are not sincere it will show through.
Remember that whatever the situation was that broke you up; chances are you both were hurt. This means you will have to give them time to get past the situation. If they are not ready to move on and try again then you will not be able to convince them otherwise. You need to show them that you are there for them and will be waiting until they are ready.
By giving them time and starting back up as friends you can win them back by doing the same things you did to win them over in the first place. Once they have had time to heal and they see that you still care, and then they should be willing to try to work things out. Remember that you will need to convince them that what happened in the past won’t happen again.
