Below we look at some top tips for meeting the right person and making a good impression when you do.

Get a tan. If you are going to a hot location like you might do on silversea cruises, it’s not great to be turning up looking like a milk bottle. First impressions are the most important thing when meeting someone so make sure you have some color to you. You don’t have to be the colour of mahogany, just have a healthy glow that suggests you spend a bit of time outside and care about your appearance

Relax. Those people who do not open up and share their thoughts and feelings, or are just too nervous to speak to anyone, rarely build relationships. You’ll find that everyone on these types of holidays are in the same situation and will much more willing to communicate if you let your guard down, if only just a little bit. If the situation were reversed and you met someone very nervous, your advice would probably be to calm down and don’t worry. This is because it’s the best advice so make you follow it


Enjoy yourself.  Following on from the last point, finding someone and living happily ever after should not be the be all and end all of your holiday. When all is said and done, holidays are about having some time to enjoy yourself and not worry about things, and this should be the same wherever you are at whatever you’re doing.
